LIMITED EDITION PRODUCT
DeConstruct no.2 is the second iteration of one of my favorite forms in the Jo.S. collection.
This time, the skirt has been crafted from wool with a unique, patchwork pattern that beautifully emphasizes its construction and architectural cut.
The design was created as a nod to my fondness for the Japanese idea of deconstructing classics. The starting point was a traditional suit trouser cut, which was structurally re-organized to create the line of an unconventional, sculptural skirt.
From the front and back, when standing statically, the form deceptively resembles split trousers. There are perfectly finished back pockets, a classic fly with a high-quality fastening at the front, belt loops, and a waistband reinforced with grosgrain tape. Subtle references to the crotch construction are visible at the central vents—all these elements were intentionally preserved to emphasize the deconstructive nature of the design.
The back features pleats and vents that add volume to the skirt and make it move beautifully.
Each piece is made with extraordinary attention to detail—even on the inside. Crafting one skirt takes over 16 hours: from precise cutting to the final touches. That's why DeConstruct no.2 is produced in limited quantities only. It is a true masterpiece of tailoring.
Sophisticated details. Mastery of construction. The essence of craftsmanship.
