Description
It's time for my gem in the collection: the DeConstruct no.1 skirt. It was created as a nod to my love for the Japanese idea of deconstructing classics. This time, the starting point was the traditional cut of suit trousers, structurally reorganized to create the line of a unique skirt.
From the front and back, when standing statically, the form deceptively resembles cut trousers: there are back pockets with a perfect finish, a classic fly and high-quality fastening at the front, belt loops, a waistband lined with grosgrain ribbon, and at the central vents, subtle references to the crotch construction are visible. All of this is to fully reflect the deconstructive nature of the design.
The back features pleats and vents that add volume to the skirt and move beautifully. Discreet snaps are hidden in the waistband at the side — they allow for a perfect fit without disturbing the line.
The entire piece has been finished with extreme care, even on the inside. One item takes over 16 hours to create: from the precise cutting process to the final sewing detail. That's why the skirt is only available in limited quantities. It's a true tailoring masterpiece.
The fabric? Perfectly selected diagonal wool in timeless navy, with a lining in the same shade. Noble, elegant, beautifully maintaining its shape.
Refined details. Mastery of construction. The essence of craftsmanship.
