Description
The Tang waistcoat is clearly an Asian-inspired piece with a subtly European twist characteristic of Jo.S. It was made from archival fabric by Tom Ford. This is high-quality wool with a very smooth, almost silky feel that drapes beautifully on the figure. The classic Prince of Wales pattern in shades of grey with a hint of indigo navy creates a subtle, deep fabric structure. We finished the interior with a carefully selected deep indigo lining that highlights the color scheme of the material.
The waistcoat has a simple, clean form inspired by traditional Chinese cuts, but refined with contemporary, minimalist tailoring. Its character is emphasized by three asymmetrically placed, handmade frog fastenings. This is a subtle nod to Chinese tailoring tradition.
It functions as a light insulating layer, but above all, it is a strong styling element.
You can wear it over a shirt, a sweater, or directly on the body as a standalone item. Available in two sizes, designed to fit various figures and layers.

Why should you be here?
Jo.S Mission
We create clothes for women who don't want to look like everyone else. Our short runs, meticulous designs, and exquisite fabrics allow you to dress consciously – with character, without compromise.
Jo.S Vision
Jo.S is an alternative to mass production and repetitiveness. We sew ethically and locally, using fabrics sourced from the archives of the biggest fashion houses – this ensures that each item is limited edition, refined, and made from material that is difficult to acquire a second time.
We sew locally in small family-run sewing workshops, in short series and with respect for the work of experts. We use archival fabrics from the biggest fashion houses, creating an ethical and conscious essence of slow fashion.
