Description

Hikari means "light" – it's delicate yet strong, simple yet expressive.

This vest is an interpretation of armor for the modern warrior: delicate, yet resolute.

Made from soft, slightly washed denim – comfortable, yet with character. The shoulder line plays the main role here – slightly elevated, it adds strength and presence to the silhouette. It doesn't overstate, it just sets the tone.

The inspiration came from Japanese female warriors – onna-bugeisha – women who fought alongside samurais. Their attire, though armored, was often beautiful and detailed. I drew from the form of ceremonial uchikake coats and light kosode-gusoku armor, which combined a feminine shape with protective function.

Hikari is a new version of this idea, filtered through modern urban style.

Jo.S Mission

We create clothes for women who don't want to look like everyone else. Our short runs, meticulous designs, and exquisite fabrics allow you to dress consciously – with character, without compromise.

Jo.S Vision

Jo.S is an alternative to mass production and repetitiveness. We sew ethically and locally, using fabrics sourced from the archives of the biggest fashion houses – this ensures that each item is limited edition, refined, and made from material that is difficult to acquire a second time.

We sew locally in small family-run sewing workshops, in short series and with respect for the work of experts. We use archival fabrics from the biggest fashion houses, creating an ethical and conscious essence of slow fashion.
