Description

The kimono was created in a very limited quantity.

The Ophelia kimono was created with delicacy in mind, conveying meaning.
It is made of raw, golden silk, onto which a delicate mesh with hand-embroidered Lacroix detailing has been applied.

The classic yukata cut was a natural choice here – it allows the fabric and embroidery to shine without interference from the form. Every detail works with the movement of the body and light.

Ophelia is subtle yet distinctive.
It's a form that doesn't need an occasion.
It is worn like a story.

The kimono comes with a silk Obi-inspired belt.

Features
  • Colour: muted old gold with a sewn-on layer of milky mesh with embroidery
  • Flowy and light
  • Tied with a silk belt

  • In most of my kimonos, there are openings under the sleeves (sode sleeves), through which you can easily put your hands, throwing the sleeve flap slightly back. This completely changes the character of the kimono and is very practical at the table. I recommend trying it!

Jo.S Mission

We create clothes for women who don't want to look like everyone else. Our short runs, meticulous designs, and exquisite fabrics allow you to dress consciously – with character, without compromise.

Jo.S Vision

Jo.S is an alternative to mass production and repetitiveness. We sew ethically and locally, using fabrics sourced from the archives of the biggest fashion houses – this ensures that each item is limited edition, refined, and made from material that is difficult to acquire a second time.

We sew locally in small family-run sewing workshops, in short series and with respect for the work of experts. We use archival fabrics from the biggest fashion houses, creating an ethical and conscious essence of slow fashion.
